As part of our topic based around Ancient Greece we will discuss the civilisation from this period in history and children will compare to other ancient civilisations.

We have had an amazing Spring so far, packed with plenty of learning opportunities.
This half term’s topic is called, ‘What is life like in the Alps?’.
Children will explore geography, climate, and cultural aspects of the Alps mountain range, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the unique and diverse life in this region.

Summer One
This term, our topic is Where Does Our Energy Come From?, where children will explore the origins of energy and investigate the benefits and drawbacks of different sources through Geography. Through hands-on activities, discussions, and map work, children will develop their understanding by asking questions, making connections, and drawing conclusions about how energy impacts our world.

Summer Two
This term, our topic is What does the census tell us about our local area?, where children will explore how data helps us understand the people and places in our community. They will become local detectives—collecting data, analysing maps, and comparing past and present information to uncover the story of where we live. Through fun activities like surveys, interviews, and fieldwork, children will bring the census to life and discover what makes our local area unique.
